Enriching the cultural experience for all students

CCEI Diversity Peer Educators

The Center for Cultural Engagement and Inclusion recognizes the knowledge and lived experiences students bring with them to Cal Lutheran regarding topics of race, racism, implicit bias, and other social justice issues. The CCEI Peer Educator Program was developed out of a need for student involvement and peer to peer educational opportunities surrounding these topics. Working with CCEI professional staff, CCEI Peer Educators will assist in the development and co-facilitation of workshops and trainings for Cal Lutheran students and the broader Cal Lutheran community. Tentative topics include: anti-Blackness and the Black Lives Matter movement, cultural appropriation, a history of social justice movements, intersectional feminism, and Queer liberation.

The Center for Cultural Engagement and Inclusion will be launching workshops and trainings in March 2021. Stay tuned for more details. If you have a suggestion or comment, please reach out to the Assistant Director of Student Life, Student Diversity Initiatives.
