“During my last week in Spain, I got a tattoo that says "Viajar es vivir dos veces" – to travel is to live two times – because you'll make such meaningful connections with people and places abroad that it feels like you've built a second life.”

Studied Abroad with Semester at Sea
Major: Computer Science

"Being an international student, I didn't think it was possible for me to study abroad and still follow my 4-year plan. However, with the help of the study abroad office, I was able to spend a semester traveling to over 10 different countries. I gained so much from that experience that will forever change my outlook on life. I have not only learned about different cultures and made friends from all over the world, but have used my study abroad experience to expand my future career opportunities."

Haley Miller, Senior

Studied Abroad with Semester at Sea
Major: IES (Education)

"Going on Semester at Sea was the best experience of my life! I learned so much from being on the ship and traveling to so many different countries.

It changed my perspective on the world, and I even changed my major from accounting to education because of a program in Ghana, where I did a home stay in a village and volunteered at a primary school for a few days. I am much happier now! Studying abroad will definitely be an amazing part of your college experience!"

Studied Abroad in Granada, Spain and Washington D.C.
Major: Political Science with an emphasis in Law and Public Policy | Minor: Philosophy

"I decided to study abroad to fill my cultural curiosities, my desire to see new places and to discover new confidence within myself. I always wanted to study abroad, but as a first generation college student that goal seemed a bit out of reach. I am here to tell you that it's not and that I am here to help you make it happen! My time studying abroad continues to shape me personally, academically and professionally and because of this I think it is an opportunity that everyone should consider."
