About the Task Force

The Task Force on General EducationThe Task Force on General Education (GE) is composed of members of the faculty, staff and administration, and includes student representatives.

In June 2021, the task force was charged with recommending GE modifications that address the needs and interests of students who will become the next generation of leaders and changemakers in our communities.

This new curriculum also focuses on faculty expectations of rigor, relevancy, scope, and application. Finally, the task force seeks a sense of purpose and inspiration for all students, regardless of their major or future area of study.

This project is inclusive and invites community members to participate and observe the changes being proposed.

  • The work of the task force is guided by data and focused on student learning.
  • Faculty participation and expertise fuels thoughtful, deliberate work..
  • The task force provides diverse opportunities to actively participate.
