My mind drifted slowly
In shifting purple shades,
When angels came to meet me
On warm, white-golden rays.
Their wings were stretching forward,
Blinding me with light.
The tears that filled my open eyes,
Double-bound my sight.
With trembling hands I gripped their wings,
And though I could not see,
As we slipped beyond this earthly realm,
I knew that I was free.
