"First impressions"
My CLU story begins with a high school senior. As a senior I was confused and had no idea where I wanted to go for college. I visited many "big-name" universities but none ever felt right to me. I went to a small high school and was looking for a college with that same feeling. My high school English teacher told me about CLU. He was an Art major and spoke very highly of the instructors he had.
I figured "Why not? It's close to home."
My family and I arranged a campus tour and came to CLU. I went on the tour but did not really need it. The moment I stepped on campus I knew this was where I belonged. CLU has always been a place where I have felt at home. So much so I stayed for my Bachelor's, teaching credential, Masters and now I work here full-time.
More Stories"Students grow"My favorite part of being employed here at CLU is seeing the students grow from their freshman to sophomore year and beyond. "Pressing on"I think this is one of CLU’s strong points- there were always faculty members encouraging us to press on. "Beautiful afternoon isn’t it?"From that day on, I have felt CLU is a campus that is comfortable and relaxed. "A shift in direction"Tom tried something new- a business class. He liked it and did well. |
