KammerMusikere

KammerMusikere

The 31-member KammerMusikere, a chamber orchestra from Pacific Lutheran University comprising strings, winds and brass, offers a program of music related to dances from tango to ballet. This program includes a little-known American polonaise by John Philip Sousa. KammerMusikere director Jeffrey Bell-Hanson conducts.

KammerMusikere means “chamber musicians” in Norwegian in a nod to PLU’s Norwegian Lutheran founders. Representing a music department with 200 academic majors and more than 600 participants every year, the orchestra recently toured historic venues in Bavaria and north central France.
