Long Term Disability Insurance
General Info: Reliance Standard
Limitations: Benefit waiting period is 180 days.
Eligibility: All active full time exempt and non-exempt employees working 30 hours or more per week.

Option 1:

State Disability - Short Term
Description: Mandated by the state for all employees.
Coverage provides benefits for a maximum of 9 months in California.
Available after 7 consecutive days of work are missed.
Applications obtained through your physician or admitting hospital. Applications obtained through your physician or admitting hospital. 1% of your gross salary to state limit.

Option 2:

Long Term Disability
Description: You will be enrolled once you have completed 180 days in the University's employ and work a minimum of 30 hours per week for Staff employees, and 3/4 time annual for Administrative and Faculty employees. Reimbursement is approximately 66 2/3% of employee's last year's base wages up to a maximum of $10,000/month.
Cost: Provided at no cost for the employee only.
