Track and Field Season Opens in Pasadena

PASADENA, Calif. (Feb. 10, 2007) - Both the men's and women's track and field teams competed in the Caltech All Comers meet today.

A number of personal bests were achieved at the meet.

For the Kingsmen Steven Phan ran the 800m in 2:18.3 which was a seven second improvement on his personal best. Mike Norris set two personal bests with a hammer throw of 40.87m and a discus toss landing at 40.89m.

Ashley Fleming set two personal bests on the day for the Regals. The first was in the javelin, which she threw 30.02m and the other was a 38.95m hammer throw.

CLU will compete again on February 24, 2007 at Claremont-Mudd-Scripps.
