ASCLUG Senate to Purchase Earthquake/Disaster Kits
On November 12th, the ASCLUG Senate unanimously approved the allocation of senate general funds to purchase 10 earthquake/disaster kits for our school. This purchase was coordinated by sophomore senator Paige Piper and senior senator Shannon Cordes. These earthquake kits are different from first aid kits housed around campus in that they contain emergency food and water rations, communication devices, disinfectant wipes, survival blankets, and more. These kits have a home with Campus Public Safety and will be distributed by their department in the event of a major disaster. The 5 year shelf life of these kits will prove them to be both necessary and durable.
Clubs & Orgs Grant Opportunity
Approximately $1000 total will be awarded to supplement the cost for three different events. The deadline to submit your proposal is December 14th at 5:00pm. A committee will vote for the best proposals based on the criteria. The winners will be announced and awarded during Finals Week via email.
The Representative of the Week is...
Abby Walder!

Abby Walder is a First Year as the ASCLU Senate Recorder. She does a phenomenal job of documenting every movement and motion in notes published on the ASCLU website for reference years to come. Essentially, Abby writes the history of Senate. While she may not have much of a chance to talk during Senate meetings, her bubbly personality shines through as a smiling face at the front of the room. Careful, though! What you say in Senate may come back to haunt you!
