COMMUNITY COUNSELING CENTERS WEBSITE
Cal Lutheran's Community Counseling Centers offer quality counseling services to individuals, couples, families, adolescents, and children while providing training for our students. We serve an average of 450 individuals and families each week.
These clinical services, offered at the Oxnard and Westlake Centers, provide intensive clinical training to graduate students who are completing their Master of Science in Counseling Psychology with an emphasis in Marital and Family Therapy or their PsyD in Clinical Psychology.
Each trainee receives extensive supervision by experienced licensed clinicians. Our 21 supervisors include psychologists, MFTs, and licensed social workers representing a wide range of theoretical orientations including family systems, cognitive behavioral, and psychodynamic approaches. New facilities, state-of-the-art digital audiovisual equipment, and observation rooms provide a rich supervisory and clinical training setting. Students are also trained on Titanium Schedule, which is the leader in counseling center electronic medical record keeping.
The Community Counseling Centers provide accessible psychotherapeutic and assessment services that are informed by an in-depth study of human development, psychological functioning, attachment, and interpersonal relationships. Both centers emphasize the provision of the highest quality of services to diverse groups and offer services in English and Spanish.
