AKD Sociology Club

AKD is intended to promote the study of sociology and encourages its members to become involved with social and intellectual activities that will lead to the improvement of society and the human condition. There are no academic or class requirements to join the AKD Sociology Club! All you need is a passion for social issues and a love for helping others. Every semester AKD Sociology Club participates in community service projects, events aimed at helping others or shedding light on a particular social issue, fundraisers and regular club meetings, as well as fun social outings. All events are decided on and put together by AKD club members and it is a great way to get involved with others in the local community. This club is also affiliated with Alpha Kappa Delta (AKD), an international sociology honor society open to undergraduate sociology majors/minors who meet eligibility requirements. Members of the Sociology Club are not required to join the honor society, but if they are interested, are encouraged to inquire about applying.
