Today, right now, you CAN choose to make a difference.

Adult students throughout the world are making the choice to complete their degrees and pursue their professional dreams, and the CLU Adult Degree Evening Program (ADEP) understands that drive to achieve. ADEP was one of the pioneers in Southern California in engaging the specific values and needs of adult learners, who desire to understand and shape the critical issues that determine our society's success. ADEP has proven to be an important voice in the communities and industries in Southern California and beyond. ADEP learners understand the complexities facing business firms, government agencies, and non-profits. These organizations require managers and leaders who, not only make people feel better about themselves or their work, but are also the instruments leading organizations to achieve objectives while simultaneously being excellent community contributors. Globalization, technological change, social responsibility, competition. Imagine having to orchestrate limited resources in the face of these challenges, opportunities, and threats. Individuals are needed to be leaders who are equipped to make difficult choices and drive actions toward valued goals. Organizations need people who know more than the business side of government, industry, and non-profit organizations; they need professionals who are capable of not only facilitating strategic change, but engaging their organizations in innovative cultural thinking and global entrepreneurship. Leaders must be fluent in designing cross-cultural interventions with experience in work places which are both productive and satisfying. The California Lutheran Adult Degree Evening Program educates and develops individuals to fill this need.

We believe success and achievement in this global economy and age of instant information need not occur at the expense of human dignity-rather they enhance the human experience. We believe in the education and development of balanced, insightful, and morally strong leaders in all fields who give equal standing to the production of economic goods and services and to the ethical standards used to produce them. Our learners develop and enhance the character of organizations and improve performance through the examination of strategy, structure, and processes, both business and individual. We have the unfailing belief that the best decisions are values-based, and that those values inform choices about when and how to change. These are just a few of the critical processes being addressed by ADEP graduates every day.
