The Fifty and Better Program

My name is David, and I am a student in the Fifty and Better program. My wife, Maggie, and I live in Moorpark, California. I knew some Cal Lutheran graduates in his professional life, but it wasn’t until I received a local newspaper, The Acorn, that I heard about the Fifty and Better program. I have many favorite instructors, including Dr. Jason Hensley, Dr. Lorena Muñoz, Katherine Zoraster, and several more. These faculty were very thorough and comprehensive in the areas that I already found interesting or discovered through the program. I enjoy FAB’s diversity of topics, ease of using Zoom, being able to ask questions, the instructors’ willingness to continue providing information and answering questions outside of class, and the instructors’ enthusiasm for their respective topics (especially Tony Moon’s). I am newly retired and enjoy traveling. I have been inspired by classes with Eleanor Schrader, Katherine Zoraster, and Christine Maasdam to visit museums around the world.
