About
Chris Brown earned his Ph.D. from the University of Colorado in 2004. He is interested in many applications of mathematics, from environmental modeling to signal analysis. His primary field of study is machine learning/data science, and more particularly complex data modeling and parameter estimation in dynamical systems. Through applying these techniques to environmental modeling and management problems, Dr. Brown has gained both broad experience in the field of data science and a passion for bringing real-world data modeling experiences to the classroom. Outside of the classroom, Dr. Brown is an enthusiastic guitar, mandolin, and banjo player.
