Giovanni Lapp '13 & Rosemarie Lombardi '12
Romi and I met our freshman year when we both moved into our dorms early for fall sports (women’s soccer and football) in 2008. We remained friends through our first year and a half of college and that friendship turned into dating at the end of our sophomore year in 2010.
Romi and I were proud and passionate student athletes, playing all 4 years and leading our teams to SCIAC championships along the way. Rosemarie graduated in 2012 and I did in 2013.
Our relationship continued to grow and we tied the knot July 9th, 2016 with many of our Cal Lutheran friends. Just last year we had our first child, Giovanni James who was born June 12th, 2018.
With Romi originally coming from Colorado and me from San Diego, we certainly would never had crossed paths and found each other without Cal Lu.
