We met late one night in November 2001 at the bench between Petersen and Thompson dorms where people would always gather on warm nights. He was on a skateboard and I told my roommate I thought he was cute. She asked if I wanted her to introduce us, since she knew him. I was too shy and said no, but she did it anyway, and I’m so glad she didn’t listen to me! We started dating that same week, and we were married in Samuelson Chapel in 2005. We’ve had a very happy 17+ years, including serving in Peace Corps together in Bulgaria. We live in Josh’s home state of Minnesota now, raising our 2 boys with another due in May. I’m grateful for my degree and for the quality education I received, but meeting Josh was the single best thing that happened during my years at CLU.
