Lucille Ballard

Lucy has been the staff nurse in the Student Health Services at CLU since 1969.  She attended the Union Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in Baltimore, Maryland, and received her degree in 1946.  Lucy has been an active participant and familiar face to the CLU community for 25 years.  Her involvement on campus includes: President of the CLU Guild; board member of the CLU Women’s League; member of LINK for five years and a member of the Community Leaders Club for 22 years and a board member for two years.

Lucy’s community activities include: Sunday school teacher for 16 years; Operation Head Start of Ventura County; 4-H leader for four years; Club Scout co-leader for four years and Conejo Valley Hospital Auxiliary board member and volunteer.

She has received the following awards associated to CLU: Champion of Change Award in 1980 by the Women’s Resource Center; Faculty-Staff Inspiration Award in 1982; Community Leaders Club William Hamm Award in 1994 and the 25 Year Service Award from CLU in 1996.
