The Alpha Xi Psi Chapter of Phi Alpha Theta at California Lutheran University is honored to host the 2016 Phi Alpha Theta California State Conference.  (We are the only regional conference in the state of California this year!)

The conference will be held on Saturday, April 9th, 2016, in the Soiland Humanities Building at California Lutheran University's main campus in Thousand Oaks, CA.

Call for Papers

We invite individual paper submissions and panel proposals from students of history at the graduate and undergraduate level, as well as alumni, regardless of membership in Phi Alpha Theta. FINAL submission deadline is Wednesday, March 9, 2016.

Submission Guidelines


Early registration prices are $40 per person, available until MARCH 25, 2016 after which prices will increase to $55 per person. This cost covers registration, breakfast, the awards luncheon, program, and a name badge.
