The Alpha Xi Psi Chapter of Phi Alpha Theta at California Lutheran University is honored to host the 2023 Phi Alpha Theta Southern California Regional Conference.  We look forward to a return to in-person opportunity to engage with our peers throughout California!

The conference will be held on Saturday, March 25th, 2023, in the Soiland Humanities Building at California Lutheran University's main campus in Thousand Oaks, CA.

Call for Papers

We invite individual paper submissions and panel proposals from students of history at the graduate and undergraduate level, as well as alumni, regardless of membership in Phi Alpha Theta. FINAL submission deadline is Friday, February 24, 2023.

Submission Guidelines

Pre-Registration

Early registration prices are $50 per person, available until MARCH 10, 2023, after which prices will increase to $65 per person. This cost covers registration, breakfast, the awards luncheon, program, and a name badge.

Phi Alpha Theta

Phi Alpha Theta (ΦΑΘ) is an American honor society for undergraduate and graduate students and professors of history. Phi Alpha Theta was established on March 17, 1921 at the University of Arkansas by Professor Nels Cleven.
