(THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. – March 10, 2017) The fourth annual CalLuPalooza will showcase the musical talent of California Lutheran University students on Saturday, April 22.

The free public concert will run from 6:30 to 10 p.m. in Kingsmen Park on the Thousand Oaks campus.

About a dozen acts, all of which include Cal Lutheran students, will be chosen through auditions to take the stage. The emphasis will be on original music. The show will feature a wide variety of genres such as acoustic, rock, rap and electronic dance music. The program will be supplemented by DJs.

Music production students launched the festival. The music production program, now in its sixth year, prepares students for careers as sound engineers, mixers, editors, producers, talent scouts and performers. Students record, edit and mix projects.

T-shirts will be offered for sale. The Cal Lutheran Entrepreneurship Club is lining up food and music-related vendors and booths.

Kingsmen Park is located on the north side of Memorial Parkway near Mountclef Boulevard.

The Music Department is sponsoring the event. For more information, call 805-493-3306.
