Fraisse Named Distinguished Educator in Residence at CLU

CVUSD Superintendent to serve as co–director of the Ed.D. Program

(THOUSAND OAKS, CA–January 2006)–Robert Fraisse, Ed.D., has been named Distinguished Educator in Residence for the School of Education at California Lutheran University, announced Terence Cannings, Ed.D., Dean of the School of Education. Fraisse, who will serve as co–director of the education doctoral program at the university, will begin his duties on August 1.

Fraisse is currently the superintendent of the Conejo Valley Unified School District. He has also served as superintendent of the Hueneme Elementary School District and assistant superintendent of the Las Virgenes Unified School District where he worked for more than 20 years.

“We are honored and excited that Dr. Fraisse has accepted the position of Distinguished Educator in Residence at CLU. Dr. Fraisse is one of the most effective and respected superintendents in Southern California. As the co–director of the Ed.D. in Educational Leadership Program in the School of Education, he will be in the position to share his knowledge, skills and values with promising and aspiring leaders in Southern California,” said Cannings.

Fraisse recently traveled with CLU faculty, Ventura County Superintendent of Schools Charles Weis, and Ventura Unified School District Superintendent Dr. Trudy Arriaga to the National College for School Leadership (NCSL) in Britain.
