CLU will hold International Chapel Service

Procession will include flags from more than 50 countries

California Lutheran University will hold an International Chapel Service at 10:10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 14, in Samuelson Chapel.

CLU students come from nearly every U.S. state and more than 50 countries. They represent a diversity of faiths, cultures and ethnicities. This annual service celebrates the campus’ diversity and the unifying force of faith in God.

The service will begin with a procession of flags from all the countries represented on campus. Prayers will be read in different languages. The event will not only honor international students, but also faculty who came from other countries and students who have studied abroad.

The service is part of International Education Week being celebrated on campus Nov. 12-16.

CLU’s Campus Ministries and Multicultural Programs offices are sponsoring the free service, which is open to the public.

The campus is located at 60 W. Olsen Road in Thousand Oaks.
