CLU Honors ADEP, MBA Students and Recognizes Corporations

CLU's Adult Degree (ADEP) and Master of Business Administration (MBA) programs will hold their 15th annual corporate breakfast on Thursday, May 1, to honor 27 Distinguished Scholars. Eleven companies that support higher education through their tuition reimbursement programs and have five or more employees enrolled in one of CLU's degree programs will also be honored.

The 10 ADEP students that will be honored are Francine Call, Lori Silver, Janyce Kamahele and Patrick Van Zant, Amgen; David Kittinger and Mary Smith, Boeing; David Chacon, Dept. of the Navy, PHD NSWC; Lucia Runyan, Northrop Grumman PRB Systems; Lynne Cook, Verizon Communications; and William Steck, Zebra Technologies.

The 17 MBA students being honored are Andrea Bell, Alison Castellano, Erik Kiszczak, Bruce Mason, Stephanie Mason, Reginald Ray and Carolyn Sanger, Amgen; Steven Klein and James Sherman, Boeing; Mike Troxel, Dept. of the Navy, PHD NSWC; Michelle Karaboyas and Chris Karaboyas, General Motors; Charles Fitzgerald, Northrop Grumman; Liane Youngerman, Rockwell Scientific; Gunraj Takhar, Skyworks Solutions; David Beal, Technicolor Home Entertainment; and Paul Reilly, Verizon Communications.

The 11 companies being recognized are Amgen Inc. (Thousand Oaks); The Boeing Co. (Canoga Park); General Motors (Thousand Oaks); Northrop Grumman (Oxnard); Northrop Grumman PRB Systems (Camarillo); Dept. of the Navy, PHD NSWC (Port Hueneme); Rockwell Scientific (Thousand Oaks); Skyworks Solutions (Newbury Park); Technicolor Home Entertainment (Camarillo); Verizon Communications (Thousand Oaks); and Zebra Technologies (Camarillo).

To qualify as a Distinguished Scholar, MBA students must have completed at least 27 credits of the 42–credit program with a minimum GPA of 3.75, and ADEP students must have completed at least 90 credits of a 124–credit bachelor's program with a minimum GPA of 3.5.
