This fall holiday weekend, we are heading to the Bay Area! We leave on Thursday afternoon-- check with your professors, class is only cancelled on Friday. Friday and Saturday will be spent exploring environmental problems, what roles our daily actions play, and how we can effect change! Activities may range from taking a kayaking trip looking at pollutants and how they travel through waterways to meeting with a local agency fighting for positive environmental policy change to visiting a landfill and looking at what our waste becomes (and how much of it we generate!).
