Music Production & Recording

Our music production program gets you working with professional analog and digital equipment while you are a student.

With multiple recording studios on campus, you’ll be set up for success as a future music producer, songwriter, musician, or engineer.

Arete Vocal Ensemble

Areté Vocal Ensemble

Areté is an innovative professional ensemble of vocal artists based in Thousand Oaks, California.

Their vocal and choral repertoire includes works from all periods of music history, with special attention given to contemporary, ethnic, experimental, improvisatory, and "cross-over" music.

Theatre & Dance Productions

Students participate in several major productions each year, including musicals, original films, dance, improvisational theatre, and the Black Box Studio Theatre series.

If you love straight-up comedy, check out the CLU Improv troupe, which performs in the Preus-Brandt Forum every other week.

Kingsmens Shakespeare

Kingsmen Shakespeare Festival

Established in 1997, the Kingsmen Shakespeare Company puts on two outdoor stagings of the Bard's plays each summer.

As Cal Lutheran's professional theater company, it also runs a wide variety of educational programs for K-12 and college students.

Visual Arts

When you study in the Visual Arts Department, you’ll gain skills and experiences to prepare you for visual-based occupations in education, advertising, game design, graphic design, digital visual effects, publishing and other creative industries.

Our two-story, 20,000-square-foot William Rolland Art Center is home to drawing, painting, photography, ceramics, sculpture and watercolor/design studios.

Digital Media

Digital Media & Design

Over the course of your studies in Digital Media & Design, you'll produce a solid body of work that will enable you to create a professional portfolio or demo reel, depending on your concentration.

Your portfolio will showcase both your creative and technical expertise, helping you to launch your career in a variety of industries.

Film & Television

You'll get hands-on training both in our television studio and on-location from faculty who have industry experience.

Our proximity to Hollywood will provide you with year-round access to apply what you learn in the classroom by pursuing internships, participating in film festivals, attending industry conferences, and making connections for jobs.

William Rolland Gallery of Fine Art

Located next to William Rolland Stadium, this gallery features several exhibits throughout the year, typically alongside lectures by art faculty, foreign language tours, and parallel educational events. 

William Rolland Art Center

William Rolland Art Center

A modern visual arts spaces for painting, drawing, photography, ceramics, and sculpture. Includes video and audio editing suites, a virtual reality production studio, and displays of student work.
