Event Description
Dr. Miguel Gallardo, President of the California Psychological Association, will discuss his research on bilingual/bicultural therapists and their ability to work with the Latino community. Dr. Gallardo's study examines cultural responsiveness, acculturation, and culturally specific interventions being used by therapists with Latino clients.
A licensed clinical psychologist, Dr. Gallardo currently serves as an assistant professor of psychology at Pepperdine University’s Graduate School of Education and Psychology.
