Founders Day Convocation

The Rev. Rebecca Schlatter

Founders Day Convocation

CLU’s Founders Day is held annually to give thanks for the University’s heritage and accent its mission of educating leaders for a global society. This year’s keynote speaker is Rebecca Schlatter, associate pastor at Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd in Reno, Nev.

Schlatter’s focus is on faith formation for all ages, and she has spent more than 15 years creating communities of discernment in campus ministries and congregations. Many of those experiences inform her recent book, The Treasure Hunt of Your Life: Seeking Your Calling, Encountering God, Finding Yourself. She previously served as campus minister for vocation discernment at Santa Clara University, a parish pastor in Silicon Valley, and a seminary intern in Hong Kong. A graduate of Pacific Lutheran Theological Seminary, Schlatter was ordained in the ELCA in 2002.

Admission is free.
