How to Apply


  • Students who will be Sophmores, Juniors or Seniors for the 2022-2023 academic year and in good standing
  • A passion for nonprofit organizations and the public sector
  • Student must be at least 17 years of age by September 2021
  • Student must be a U.S. citizen, U.S. national, or lawful permanent resident alien of the United States and satisfy the National Service Criminal History Check eligibility criteria (45 CFR 2540.202)  at the time of enrollment in order to become an AmeriCorps Fellow
  • Students of all majors are encouraged to apply—consult your academic advisor about how the AmeriCorps courses will fit your schedule. Some popular majors for the program include: Sociology, Psychology, Political Science, Communication


The priority application deadline for 2022-2023 has passed, but further applications will be accepted and reviewed on a rolling basis. 

After your application has been received and we consider you as a candidate for this fellowship, we will contact you for a 20-minute interview.
