To meet the opportunities and challenges posed by an increasingly interdependent world, the Global Studies Program at California Lutheran University is committed to preparing and educating students to be "leaders in a global society" through their academic coursework and experiential learning opportunities.
During a 10-12 week intensive summer program, Pearson Scholars participate in experiential
learning opportunities that expose them to global issues and diverse communities.
Led by a Cal Lutheran faculty member, Travel Seminars take Cal Lutheran undergraduate students around the world to locations such as Britain, Costa Rica, Cuba, Italy, Jamaica, Japan, and Turkey.
Faculty-student collaboration on research empowers student research associates with self-confidence and practical skills that benefit their future career endeavors.
