First-year Student Experience Survey Data

For a duration of one week each semester, an optional survey is conducted with first-year students. The survey poses two questions via MyCLU to broadly assess the experience of students in their first semester at Cal Lutheran.

This survey was made available to all 602 first-year students registered during the survey period. 270 responses were received (49% response rate).

Question 1: How is your Cal Lutheran experience so far?

On a scale of 1-10, with 1 representing "Terrible" and 10 representing "Amazing", the median response was 8.

Question 2: Is there anything that could make your Cal Lutheran experience better?

The general topics and frequency of students' responses are summarized below.
