Hair Time: Free Haircuts for Students

Black students at Cal Lutheran often cite lack of access to hair care services in the surrounding area as a barrier to their sense of belonging at Cal Lutheran and their overall wellbeing. In living our commitment to cultivating a welcoming and inclusive community for all students at Cal Lutheran, the Center for Cultural Engagement & Inclusion is proud to partner with Clip Dart, a Black-owned social enterprise, to provide barber and hair services to students at no cost. Donations will be accepted. All donations will benefit the Alexander Twilight Legacy of Black Excellence, a space for connection and support of our Black student community. 

Clip Dart regularly partners with universities in predominantly white communities to bring barbers and hair stylists who have experience working on all hair textures to their campus. 

While this program is designed for Black students, all students are able to book an appointment.

Appointments for December 7th will open on November 30th. Click on the registration link to book your appointment. If there are no appointments available, email ccei@callutheran.edu to be put on the waitlist. Include your full name, phone number, and any questions you have in the email.
