Center for Cultural Engagement and Inclusion

Enriching the cultural experience for all students

Educate. Celebrate. Inspire. Empower.

The Center for Cultural Engagement and Inclusion is a space for students from all backgrounds to engage, organize and learn about social justice issues. Established in 2018, The Center provides both a physical space and robust programming designed to support and empower students of color, LGBTQ+ students, and other marginalized students to thrive at Cal Lutheran. Aligned with the University's mission, The Center and its offerings develop CLU students into global-minded leaders dedicated to service and justice.

By providing the Cal Lutheran community with social support, innovative programming, and educational opportunities, we:

  • Educate the campus community on social justice issues, in service of cultivating an inclusive and equitable campus environment.
  • Celebrate and uplift the diverse communities that exist at Cal Lutheran.
  • Inspire students, faculty, and staff to support and lead positive change related to diversity, equity, and inclusion on campus and beyond.
  • Empower students to embrace their identities as sources of strength as they develop into leaders dedicated to service and justice.
