Overview

What is the Math Center?

The Math Center is a state-of-the-art space for students to work on mathematical concepts and problem soliving with their peers.

The space includes multiple whiteboards and whiteboard tables, loaner laptops with mathematical software, a large smart TV, and class textbooks available for use. We run workshops on various math topics, time management, and study skills. Our tutors are here for students who need math help from intermediate Algebra to Calculus II.

Where is the Math Center located?

The Math Center is located in the Pearson Library and provides both in-person and zoom virtual tutoring options.

**Due to construction in the Pearson Library over the summer, the Math Center will relocate to SBET 127 from 5/30/23 to 08/11/2023.

What does the Math Center do?

We offer help on: homework, test preparation, mathematical understanding, problem solving, and study skills. We can help you use technology to better understand your math content.

Do I need an appointment?

Appointments are not required. Students can drop-in both in-person or via zoom. However, students need to sign up for virtual zoom sessions once per semester.  We ask that students bring questions on work that they have already attempted so that we may better assist them.

What are the hours of operation?

Hours vary by semester, details can be found by clicking here.
