Challenge, Engagement, Diversity

In 2001, faculty at CLU met and discussed themes to focus on for the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) Educational Effectiveness Report to be used for reaffirmation of accreditation. The main themes that emerged were challenge, engagement and diversity. The themes focusing on these areas are listed below.

Theme 1:

Raising the level of expectations, challenge, and engagement in CLU’s academic and co-curricular programs.

Theme 2:

Enhancing engagement with diversity in the campus community and in the classroom.

The process of defining challenge and engagement, and the gathering of data relative to the challenge and engagement definition are found in Chapter 2 of CLU’s Educational Effectiveness Report.
