Scandinavian Festival
April 19 - April 20, 2008
Kingsmen Park - map
The Scandinavian Festival returns to the CLU campus bringing with it affordable family fun along with the popular food, fun and festivities of the past. The colorful opening parade of flag bearers and Scandinavian dignitaries will be followed by singing of national anthems, folk music and dancing.
Many of the vendors and exhibitors will move to Memorial Parkway to make room in Kingsmen Park for a variety of crafts and activities for children and adults. More tables and chairs will provide a relaxed atmosphere for leisurely enjoyment of favorite Scandinavian foods. The festival will again offer a variety of demonstrations and presentations as well as a Sunday morning Scandinavian worship service in Samuelson Chapel.
The Scandinavian Festival features the countries of Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden. In keeping with the festival tradition, the Baltic countries of Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania will also participate.
Admission is $5 for adults, $3 for those 6 to 18, and free for CLU students and children under 6.
