Assess Yourself Online!

Did you know there are online resources that can help you examine your psychological functioning (in other words--how you think, feel and behave)?  To view one site that's particularly helpful to a lot of people, click here.

Some students feel uncomfortable coming over to the Counseling Services building.  If you're one of those students, we hope you stop by some time but in the meantime, we want you to know about online resources.

TAKE A TEST!

Click on any of the following subjects to be linked to a test for that type of challenge:

excessive substance use         ADD/ADHD (Attention Deficit Disorder)       anxiety

sadness or depression,            bipolar disorder            sexual disorders         Eating/Body Image

   Social Anxiety

To access some of these online preliminary screening tools, click here.

Please remember: online resources cannot determine with certainty whether a person is struggling with a particular condition. To make that determination, the person really should see a professional. But online resources can give a broad and initial indication of the likelihood that an appointment with a professional might be helpful. We hope our online screening pages will help students who might benefit from our services to feel more encouraged to do so--even if the commitment you make is simply to come by for an initial intake, to see what services we offer.

Making an Appointment at SCS

After completing a screening, if you wish to schedule a follow-up meeting with a counselor at CLU's Student Counseling Services center, which will include a confidential discussion of screening results and available resources, please call us at: Student Counseling Services, (805) 493-3390. If you have questions you can email the Director of Student Counseling Services at:agoodwin@clunet.edu. For more information, visit www.clunet.edu/counseling.

**Note that, although Student Counseling Services commits to not in any way monitoring self-assessments on this site, all users should remember that the internet is neither a confidential nor anonymous resource.
