High Quality, Low Cost Healthcare

California Lutheran University Health Services strives to provide high quality, low cost health care services to university students. The use of a holistic model recognizes the interconnectedness of mind and body. We emphasize health education to empower students to be active participants in health care decisions and treatment.

We support the academic mission of the University and work with other University faculty/staff for outreach to students through health education programs, disaster preparedness, wellness programs and communicable disease prevention programs, as well as promotion of the physical and mental health of the campus community.

Student Health Insurance

A health insurance policy is provided for all undergraduate students with 12 or more units, residential students, and international students. This is a basic accident and illness policy which will help with some medical costs if you do not have other health insurance and can act as a secondary insurance if you do have other insurance such as through a parent's policy or through an employer.

For frequently asked questions regarding the Student Health Insurance and information on how to use the insurance please click here.

Please read the information that is sent to you from UnitedHealthcare StudentResources to be familiar with the limits of the policy. Also, keep the insurance card in your wallet for your use.
