Randall Donohue
Dr. Randall Donohue is a leading business educator, researcher and expert in international marketing and global public relations. At CLU since 1999, Dr. Donohue teaches MBA and undergraduate courses in international marketing, social marketing, marketing management and integrated marketing communications.
He advises undergraduates, post-graduates and international MBA students, and has played a leading role in the negotiations and planning for CLU's first Semester-in-India Program.
Areas of Expertise
Dr. Donohue consults, speaks and writes in the following areas: International marketing; marketing for NGOs and social enterprise; international program evaluation; international public relations and crisis communications; doing business in Asia; and the future of Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC).
In addition, Dr. Donohue consults on international trade policy and programs, especially those relating to food and agriculture issues.
Resumé
INTERNATIONAL EXPERIENCE:
- 1992-98: Senior Lecturer Ngee Ann Polytechnic, and Consultant, Asia-Pacific Management Institute, Singapore;
- 1987-92: Managing Director, Plowshare-Econolynx International, based in Singapore;
- 1982-87: Asia Regional Director, U.S. Agricultural Trade Office, covering China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan, Korea, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines, Thailand, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.
- 1979-81: Asia Trade Director for the State of Washington. Appointed by the Governor to manage the State's first-ever overseas trade office, located in Singapore;
- 1972-1978: Director of Public Affairs, State of Washington Department of Natural Resources, Olympia;
- 1970-72: U.S. Peace Corps Volunteer in Bidar District, Karnataka State, India (1970-72). Horticulture/nutrition extension agent with the State Horticulture Department.
EDUCATION
In 1969, Dr. Donohue graduated with a B.A. in Rhetoric from Willamette University in Salem, Oregon. In 1994, he earned his M.Sc. in International Marketing from the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow, Scotland; and in 2003, received his Ph.D. in International Business & Management from the University of South Australia in Adelaide.
