Bruce Gillies

Dr. Bruce Gillies teaches several courses in the School of Business. Currently he teaches Business Ethics, Business Statistics, and Organizational Theory in the MBA program.

Additionally he teaches Behavior In Organizations, Managerial Leadership, Organizational Development, and Leadership Theories and Practice in the undergraduate programs. Bruce has assisted the athletic department in developing their teams through the use of mental skills training, team dynamics and communication, and leadership trait identification.

Bruce is also the supervisor for the staff of the Graduate and Adult Programs.

Dr. Gillies has a wealth of experience in the area of Organizational Development, Organizational Leadership, Sports Team Development, Field Leadership, and Equal Opportunity Program development.

He has provided speaking engagements for organizations including law enforcement, federal government agencies, small business development, and career counseling groups.

More than 21 years experience in organizational development with the United States Navy, retiring as a Master Chief Petty Officer. Continued his career in the US Navy as the Navy's Senior Transition Program Specialist developing programs to help Sailors obtain successful employment upon release from the Navy.

Bruce has been teaching courses at the graduate and undergraduate level with University of Laverne, Webster University, Park University, Crichton College, United States International University, and Central Texas College.
