Outdoor Soccer
Here comes another great semester of intramurals with Outdoor Soccer. This season marks the first time that all soccer games will be played in the new William Rolland Stadium. With as many teams as we had sign up, we hope to be able to repeat the excitment that came with Soccer from last year. The 7 v 7 co-ed outdoor soccer season starts up the second week of February and will be played on Sunday afternoons from 12:00pm - 6:00pm. Each team must have at least 7 players, with 2 players from each gender being on the field at all times. Teams may have up to 14 players per roster. All games will be played on the new William Rolland Stadium field.
Tumultuous Season Finished with a Victory
In the first full season played in the new stadium, That 1 Team ended up the champions. Captained by Kyle Evans, they faced off against the Gold Diggers in the final game of the season. The game was 0-0 going into the final minutes of the game, when both teams made one last push for a score, but neither could get the ball in the net. After 5 minutes of golden goal overtime, the game was to be decided with penalty kicks. Hector Limon for That 1 Team was the only player to score while Brandon Hill, their goalie finished the day with a shutout.
