Lunar New Year 2022

Lunar New Year's Eve Celebration

2022 is a Year of the Tiger, starting Feb. 1 and ending Jan. 21, 2023. The Tiger is known as the king of all beasts in China. The Tiger zodiac sign is a symbol of strength, exorcising evils and braveness. Many Chinese children wear hats or shoes with a tiger image for good luck (source). Learn more about the legend of the Tiger.

For the Lunar New Year's Eve, there are traditions and activities that we invite you to discover with us at the Student Union Patio. Activities will include putting up new year red decorations, enjoying a small lunch reunion, giving each other red envelopes with lucky money, and more!
