Psychology Honors Program

Honors work in psychology is available to juniors and seniors who have demonstrated high scholastic achievement (minimum GPA in Psychology = 3.7; overall GPA = 3.5) and the ability to work independently in scholarly situations. 

Students who are accepted into the Psychology Honors Program complete two semesters of work on an independent research project (4 credits each semester), supervised by one of the Psychology Department faculty. Students may begin the program in the spring of their junior year or the fall of their senior year.

Application Deadlines

  • Students interested in beginning the Program in the spring semester of their junior year must submit this application to the Department Chair by no later than November 1st of their junior year.
  • Students interested in beginning the Program in the fall semester of their senior year must submit this application to the Department Chair by no later than April 15th in the spring semester of their junior year.
