Street Tapestry

Street Tapestry

Volunteers will fill in the stenciled designs with multicolor sand. The project, inspired by the traditional festivals of flower carpets in Guatemala, Peru, and Belgium, where streets are adorned with flowers to celebrate the coming together of different cultures, will culminate with the observance of Earth Day on Friday, April 22.

Organized by the Department of Languages and Cultures in collaboration with the Center for Global Engagement and sponsored by the Artists & Speakers Committee and the Center for Academic Service-Learning.
