Welcome to the Office of Talent, Culture and Diversity!
I’m glad you stopped by. Our division was created to integrate the three most important parts of the University’s identity—our Lutheran values, our increasingly deep commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and justice (DEIJ), and our Hispanic-Serving Institution (HSI) designation. The work that we do in the TCD office helps the University serve traditionally underserved students; recruit and retain diverse faculty and staff; and reinforces a culture of belonging and social justice on campus.
The TCD division includes Human Resources, Mission & Identity, and several grant-funded programs associated with the University’s federal status as an HSI. We focus on bringing partnership and comprehensive collaboration around DEIJ efforts across the University and advocating that DEIJ principles shape decision-making. In short, we are committed to creating an inclusive culture where our diverse students and employees can grow and feel part of a beloved community. This is what makes the work that we do so meaningful.
