What is the STEM Academy?

  • The STEM Academy is a three week program during the summer at California Lutheran University to help students who wish to have a career in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).

Who can attend the STEM Academy?

  • Students who are admitted to Cal Lutheran for the Fall 2019 (Freshmen and Transfer)
  • Students who are currently a Sophomore or Junior in High School
  • Students who are currently a Senior in High School and will be attending a Community College Fall 2019
  • Students who are currently enrolled at a Community College and have completed less than 30 units

When is the STEM Academy?

  • The STEM Academy will be July 6th - July 27th, 2019.

What is the cost to attend the STEM Academy?

  • The STEM Academy is free for students!

What is the benefit for my child?

  • They will gain experience that will help them prepare for their science and math courses.
  • They will learn ways to be successful as students.
  • They will receive 3 college credit units which will count towards their degree or may be transferred to other universities.
  • They will meet other students and form a community of support.
  • They will qualify for other programs in subsequent summers.

Where is Cal Lutheran?

California Lutheran University is located in Thousand Oaks, CA just 30 minutes south of Oxnard, CA, and 35 minutes north of Los Angeles, CA.
