A free, three-week summer program for STEM students

Program Overview

Thank you for your interest in our STEM Academy program. Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances we are unable to offer the program for Summer 2023.

STEM Academy is a summer program to get you ready for pursuing a STEM degree at Cal Lutheran. It is open to incoming Cal Lutheran students and is free for all participants.

Key Benefits

Earn 3 units of semester course credit

Course credit will count towards your degree at Cal Lutheran.

Gain valuable research experience

You’ll work side-by-side with faculty to conduct research in a key subject area. You’ll present your work to campus and the community in a poster-presentation event at the end of the program. Find out more about your research topics.

Prepare for a STEM degree

Learn the best habits for getting through STEM coursework and put them into practice. Build your peer learning network and get help from upperclassmen who have been there already. Meet your peer mentors and tutors.

Professional networking and career advice

Attend lectures and field trips that will give you insight into what a STEM career future has to offer, and how to get there. Find out more about what you’ll do.

Create a community of STEM peers

On-campus housing is included for ALL STEM Academy participants

Housing and Meals are covered

Breakfast, lunch, and dinner will be provided each day in Ullman Dining.
