26th Annual Kingsmen Shakespeare Festival

"Two Gentlemen of Verona"

26th Annual Kingsmen Shakespeare Festival

Fridays through Sundays, 8 p.m.
June 30-July 2, July 7-9, July 14-16

The Two Gentlemen of Verona, thought to be one of Shakespeare’s earlier comedies, plants many of the seeds that grow to full bloom in later plays: two young men vying for the love of the same woman, a young lover’s betrayal, a woman disguising herself as a man, a comic outlaw band in a forest, servant clowns and … a dog. A fun and entertaining adventure for all.

Kingsmen Shakespeare Company is the professional theater company of Cal Lutheran. The nonprofit organization coordinates apprentice programs for professional and aspiring Shakespearean actors, an educational tour program in local schools, and summer theater camps for youth.

Festival grounds open at 5:30 p.m. for pre-show picnicking and entertainment. General admission is $25 for adults, $20 for seniors 62 and older and active military, $15 for students 18 and older with ID, and free for those 17 and younger. Reserved lawn boxes are $100 to $120. A lawn box accommodates four to six, and only one ticket is required per box. Online ticketing is available for both lawn boxes and general admission on the website.

Parking is available in the lots at the corner of Olsen Road and Mountclef Boulevard.
