Nerd Fest

Nerd Fest is a three-day celebration of the obsessed, the creative and the endlessly curious. Whether you’re into artificial intelligence, folklore, role-playing games or vintage tech, this is your sanctuary to dive deep and connect. 

• Day 1: The Infodump Session – Fast-paced, 20-minute power talks from our "Supernerds." High-impact knowledge on everything from future-casting to mystery literature.
• Day 2: The Discovery Day – Explore hands-on workshops like RPG Mechanics, the "Awkward and Afraid" session, and Nerd Networking to find your tribe.
• Day 3: The Deep Dive Day – Go further with advanced sessions, including a Sonic Workshop from Brian Wallace, known as "Dubrobot," and deep-tech explorations. You're invited to relax in The Lore Lounge on the Hub101 patio and chat with TEDx coffee nerd Antonio Fernando Castillo over a fresh brew. Then, witness the electric energy of the Nerd Slam Poetry Competition, produced by Melt the Mic Productions.

Hub101 members and current Cal Lutheran students can get a three-day pass free by using code "CLUNERD" online (Limited quantity, does not include Nerd Slam). Choose from three pass options:

• Nerd Out ($49): The ultimate three-day all-access festival experience.
• Brain Break ($19): A one-day pass for your choice of Friday, Saturday or Sunday.
• Nerd Slam ($15): Entry to the slam poetry competition only.
