For Public Service and Civic Engagement

Gallegly Fellows

Gallegly Fellows receive a generous scholarship to pursue their MPPA degree over the course of one year. The fellowship allows students to concentrate on their studies in the MPPA program, which prepares students for leadership roles in the public and nonprofit sectors.

Every year, California Lutheran University’s Master of Public Policy and Administration (MPPA) program, housed in the School of Management, awards recent graduates from an undergraduate program (from any university) the Gallegly Fellowship, named after former U.S. Representative from California Elton W. Gallegly.

As part of the program, students have the opportunity to participate in a number of curricular and extra-curricular experiential learning opportunities such as the Sacramento Institute, study trips to Washington, D.C., or internships and event participation.
