Submission Guidelines

Submit your original art, multimedia creations, writing, and music to the Morning Glory at morningglory@callutheran.edu by the deadline.

We are accepting submissions of any art form: poetry, prose (including short fiction and creative nonfiction, dramatic scenes, essays, etc) paintings, drawings, sculptures, photography, short video and audio projects (including music, dance, spoken word poetry, podcast snippets, etc). Students, faculty, staff, and alumni of CLU may submit.

Submission Window: Monday, February 6th - Saturday, March 11th.

This year's Morning Glory will continue to use a virtual format, and students from all majors are encouraged to send in submissions. The theme for this issue is Renaissance, representing a time of rebirth — emotionally, physically, and creatively — as we recover from the rough years that are behind us. How have you emerged from these difficulties? Explore this new world by creating art. Work on subjects outside of this theme is also accepted. Prose, poetry, art, photography, audio, and video submissions are all welcome.

Morning Glory submissions will be reviewed, collected, and assembled into this year's edition by the 2022-2023 English department assistants. As always, submissions from all religions, backgrounds, and viewpoints are welcome and encouraged!
