Worship
From the quiet of the meditation chapel to the joyful sounds of praise, we offer a wide range of worship opportunities so everyone who chooses to participate can feel comfortable.
Thursdays, 11:25 a.m. - 11:55 a.m.
The Cal Lutheran community gathers weekly to give thanks and praise to God for all
that God has done and is doing among us. Grounded in sacred texts, we come to hear
the word proclaimed. Preachers are selected from among the student, faculty, and
staff community. The music ranges from our fabulous organ to lively contemporary sounds.
Sundays, 5:00 p.m.
An evening worship service for students to come together to listen to the word, share
communion, and pray together. The style of service changes weekly, with various activities
from game nights, dinner church, and hikes. We would love for you to join us for fun
in faith-based community.
Wednesdays, 9:11 p.m. - 10:11 p.m.
A candlelight communion service in the Samuelson Chapel narthex led by students provides an informal setting for peace, relaxation, and contemplation.
Tuesdays, 4:00 p.m.
Join our Catholic Community each Tuesday. Gather for Mass at 4:00pm with Fr. Michael.
Set aside a sacred time to reflect by yourself or with others.
A time for the community to tend to the spiritual life by focusing on prayer and meditation.
Students of all faiths are invited to use the Wennes Meditation Chapel (located in Samuelson Chapel) for prayer and reflection. Resources from the world's faith traditions are available for your use.
In addition to campus worship opportunities, houses of worship representing many different denominations are within an easy commute from Cal Lutheran's campus to help you find a house of worship where you feel at home.
Worship through song, including: musical offerings, performed by soloists, choirs, instrumental ensembles and others in the University Chapel; performances by the all volunteer Cal Lutheran Chapel Choir composed of faculty, staff, students, administrators, and locals; and the music for the Sunday evening worship services led by the Lord of Life Worship Team.
